DJV file format:
The file format determines how the data is stored in the file. Each file format has a unique extension and almost always a unique signature. For example, Microsoft Word documents have the extension .docx and the signature (usually the first 3 characters in this file) PK. However, different programs can use the same file extension, and file extensions can be assigned incorrectly. If there are problems opening a file, you must first determine the file format used. Below is our analysis of the DJV files:
The DJV file extension is rarely used and is mainly used by one program with a specific format. The following file formats are most commonly found in DJV files:
- 97% of all DJV files are associated with DjVu. The content consists of illegible binary data, which can only be read and interpreted by the associated programs. The files are on average 5 MB in size and range from 370 KB to 10 MB. The file type is very old but is also used today. Several words can almost always be found in the files, e.g. AT&TFORM and DJVMDIRM. Files like these have the following tags: mechanics, quantum, statistical, algebras, bratelli, operator, theory, mathematical and book.
All the rest of the DJV files (3%) have different formats. If you want to find out which format your DJV file belongs to, just click on the button "Choose your .djv file to view".
