What is a DWT file

DWT files mostly belong to Dreamweaver by Adobe. A DWT file is a template containing predefined graphical components or basic drawings used to create more complex/specific 2D or 3D drawings in AutoCAD. The file is saved in the same format as DWG files; the only difference being that AutoCAD treats it as a template based on the DWT filename extension. Dreamweaver web development software uses a different DWT file to store a website template containing HTML code with references to scripts, stylesheets, images, and other media content. Microsoft programs like FrontPage and SharePoint Designer use a DWT file to store the template of dynamic and static websites.

How to open DWT files

You need a suitable software like Dreamweaver to open a DWT file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
