FRM file format details:
The file format determines how the data is stored in the file. The file format can be deduced from the file extension and the signature. If the file extension or signature does not match the file format, errors will occur when opening or editing the file. So you need a detailed analysis of a file to find out the format and the associated program. In the following you will find our evaluation of the FRM files:
The FRM file extension is very common and uses a well-defined format that can be read by many programs. The two most popular formats are as follows:
- 85% of all FRM files are associated with MySQL Database Dictionary. If you open these files in a text editor, you will see only illegible characters. FRM files can be up to 70 KB in size, but are often around 1 KB - 10 KB. It is a modern file type. The files contain the following words: PRIMARY. These files are attributed to user, users, data, admin, posts, account, details and empresas.
- 4% of all FRM files are associated with VisualBasic Form. These files are text files and can therefore be read using a text editor. A typical file size is 9 KB. The keywords VERSION 5.00, Caption, Begin VB.Form, ClientHeight, ClientLeft, ClientTop and Object are typical for these files. Examples of file names are Form1.frm. Such files are related to list.
All other FRM files (11%) have different formats, often, for example, ADLForms document, WordPerfect, DOC, ZIP, EmxxMY, TYPE and AKX. They are often associated with items, options, config, accounts, actionscheduler, category, customer, cnpj or info. If you want to find out which format your FRM file belongs to, just click on the button "Choose your .frm file to view this image".

an frm table format (definition) is a special file format by Oracle and should only be edited and saved with the appropriate software.
How to solve problems with FRM files
- Associate the FRM file extension with the correct application.
- Update your software that should actually open table format (definition)s. Because only the current version supports the latest FRM file format. Search, therefore, e.g. on the Oracle manufacturer website after an available MySQL update.
- To make sure that your FRM file is not corrupted or virus-infected, get the file again and scan it with Google's virustotal.com.
- Click here to open your .FRM file online - secure, fast, and no downloads needed.
