What is an IPX file

IPX files mostly belong to IPIX Viewer. Interactive Panoramic Image and Zipped Data Formats:

Interactive Image: Many IPX files hold panoramic images with built‐in data for 360° viewing. They work with viewers like IPIX Viewer or even QuickTime Player. For details, see the Kolor website.

Zipped Data File: Other IPX files are ZIP archives. They contain XML data and sometimes a set of TIFF images. This variant is produced by Insight Publisher and can be opened with standard ZIP tools.

How to open an IPX file

You need a suitable software like IPIX Viewer to open an IPX file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your IPX file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a IPX file directly in the browser:.
