Opening a JSC File
The JSC file type is primarily associated with JavaScriptCore.
What is a JSC file?
These files are not plain text; they are produced by compiling human-readable JavaScript into a lower-level form for faster execution.
FilExt.com note: If you try to open a JSC file in a regular text editor, you will see unreadable symbols. To inspect or debug these, you need a tool that understands JavaScript bytecode.
How to open JSC files
You need a suitable software like JavaScriptCore to open a JSC file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your JSC file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a JSC file directly in the browser:. Just drag the file onto this browser window and drop it.

Programs that open and convert JSC files:
- JavaScriptCore
See the previous paragraphs to learn more about the main application. JSC files are often referred to as JavaScriptCore developers because this type of file is primarily created or used by this software.
- JavaScript (compiled JavaScript file) by Mozilla FoundationJSC is a compiled script file for JavaScript, which is a programming language. JavaScript was developed by Brendan Eich for Netscape, and is now maintained by Mozilla Foundation and Ecma International. The purpose of compiling JavaScript is to obfuscate and protect client-side source code, although the effectiveness of the method is questionable.
JSC file format:
The file format determines how the data is stored in the file. The file format can be deduced from the file extension and the signature. File extension, signature and file format must match; otherwise errors will occur when the file is opened. Knowledge is power - this also applies when dealing with unknown or faulty files. Below you will find our evaluation of the JSC files:
JSC is a very common file type and includes different formats for the applicable programs. The two most popular formats are as follows:
- 20% of all JSC files have the same signature ,Às¹. These are binary files, so they do not contain words or text. JSC files can be up to 11 MB in size, but are often around 1 KB - 43 KB. The file type was developed 10 years ago and is still in use today. Certain words are almost always found in the files, such as proj, frameworks, runtime-src, build, assets, intermediates, workspace, jenkins, android-studio and release. A common filename is main.jsc. These files are often associated with logic, game, controller, data, resource, util, brabpair, cocos and gold.
- 10% of all JSC files use the same file format, which have the signature B4 03 DE C0. The contents of these files cannot be read by a human; only a computer program can interpret the data. The files are often between 2 KB and 56 KB in size. Examples of file names are buysell.jsc or dat_0.jsc. Such files sometimes refer to processor, simple, crack, config, footlocker and index.
All other JSC files (70%) have no uniform format, often e.g. QML JavaScript cached data, Source, Java and vVR. Often described as woman, botsupply, task, loader, base, manager or preload. Drag & drop your file here to see the file format and a preview of your JSC file!
Technical Data for JSC File Extension
The following listing is compiled from the database produced by the 'Associate This!' program, selected data from the main FILExt database and file extension information submitted by users.

a jsc bytecode file is a special file format and should only be edited and saved with the appropriate software.
How to solve problems with JSC files
- Associate the JSC file extension with the correct application.
- Update your software that should actually open bytecode files. Because only the current version supports the latest JSC file format. Search, therefore, e.g. on the manufacturer website after an available JavaScriptCore update.
- To make sure that your JSC file is not corrupted or virus-infected, get the file again and scan it with Google's virustotal.com.
- Click here to open your .JSC file online - secure, fast, and no downloads needed.
