MA format details:
Every file has a defined file format, i.e. how the data is arranged in the file. A file format is determined by the file extension and signature, so JPEG images have the extension .jpg and the first bytes in the file are ÿØÿ. Nonetheless, different programs can utilize the same file extension to represent distinct file formats. Double-clicking on the file often results in an error when opening. So you need a detailed analysis of a file to find out the format and the associated program. Our analysis of the MA files produces the following result:
The MA file extension predominantly uses a uniform format. The file formats most commonly found in MA files are:
- 70% of all MA files belong to Maya ASCII Scene. The files are using the common file format Source. A source code is the set of instructions written by a programmer using a computer programming language like JavaScript, C++ or Basic. This code is translated into machine language by a compiler. The translated result is called app, program or executable. If you open these files in a text editor, you can view and read the content yourself. MA files can be up to 1 GB in size, but are often around 550 KB - 70 MB. The file type is old but is used even today. The keywords scene, //Maya ASCII, //Last modified, Name, requires maya, //Codeset: 1252 and requires -nodeType are typical for these files. Files like these are about model, animation, uploads, anim, master, ultimate, azula, robot, woman, girl, prop, shot and 3D model.
- 15% of all MA files start with the bytes MicroStation crucial for this file format. The content consists of illegible binary data, which can only be read and interpreted by the associated programs. The files are often between 4 KB and 77 KB in size. Certain words are almost always found in the files, such as MicroStation Resource File - Version 5.0 and 5lFr.
All other MA files (15%) have no consistent format. These files sometimes refer to high or pose. Drag & drop your file here to see the file format and a preview of your MA file!
