What is an MGF file?

MGF files mostly belong to Mascot by Matrix Science. MGF filename extension is primarily associated with an ASCII text-based 3D format for creating and rendering 3D materials and surface geometry. The contents of such MGF files include data for describing the appearance and physical properties of 3D entities (objects). MGF files can also be used to store 3D information describing object transformations, color spectrum, and other effects.
