What is an MPL file?

MPL files mostly belong to PowerDVD by CyberLink. MPL files contain playlists of MTS videos recorded with AVCHD digital cameras. Sony, Panasonic, and Canon solid state digital camcorders use the contents of MPL files to navigate and play video recordings with the built-in media library and video player. An MPL playlist file is usually saved in the AVCHD/BDMV/PLAYLIST/ directory. MPL filename extension is also associated with GRTensor, a software package for performing relativity and differential geometry calculations. GRTensor saves metric data such as coordinates in ASCII text format in an MPL file. Programs written in Maple programing language are also saved in MPL (Maple Language) files. Such MPL files contain source code written in Maple syntax.

How to open MPL files

You need a suitable software like PowerDVD to open an MPL file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
