What is a PRC file?

PRC files mostly belong to Mobipocket by Mobipocket. PRC stands for Product Representation Compact File. PRC files are used as 3D image data files by the Acrobat software developed by Adobe.

Main Use: Adobe Acrobat software is used for creating, and modifying documents in the PDF file format. The software uses PRC files to save data pertaining to 3D models and assemblies such as product structure, geometry, and product manufacturers information (PMI) and is stored in with a high-compressed ratio. How do you open PRC files?

You need a suitable software like Mobipocket to open a PRC file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
