RMI file format:
The file format, which is the arrangement and type of data in a file, determines which program can open the file. Often, the file format can be deduced from the file extension or the initial bytes (called the signature). If the file extension does not match the file format, double-clicking on the file will cause an error upon opening. So you need a detailed analysis of a file to find out the format and the associated program. Our evaluation of the RMI files is as follows:
RMI is seldom used as a file extension and includes a lot of different file formats for different programs. The two most popular formats are as follows:
- 15% of all RMI files are RMI RIFF MIDI Music files, which are using the popular RIFF file format. RIFF files store data in tagged chunks. There are primarily used to store multimedia such as sound and video. The contents of these files cannot be read by a human; only a computer program can interpret the data. The average file size is 37 KB with most files being between 17 KB and 60 KB in size. The keywords MThd, RIFF, MTrk and RMIDdata are typical for these files.
- 15% of all RMI files have the same signature RFHD. These files are binary files, so they do not contain text, but only cryptic characters. RMI files can be up to 30 KB in size, but are often around 820 bytes - 17 KB. The following keywords are characteristic: "cam_title" and RFHD.
All the rest of the RMI files (70%) have different formats. Drag & drop your file here to see the file format and a preview of your RMI file!
