What is a TPS file

TPS files mostly belong to Clarion by SoftVelocity. TPS filename extension is associated with spritesheets used by TexturePacker sprite creation software. A TPS spritesheet contains bitmaps (textures) used to animate character poses and object appearance within video games. TPS files are also used to store the shapes of trees created with Bryce 3D virtual world creation and animation software. Database tables used by Clarion database and application development software, are saved in TPS files. Such database tables contain encrypted or unencrypted data saved as flat files containing one entry per line while the table fields are comma-separated. TruKnox digital products such as TruDesigner digital signage creator and Tru-Scheduler, save playlists in TPS files. Playlists created with these programs can be played by Tru-Player. Multi-Channel oscilloscope software uses TPS file format to store measurement settings and various kinds of data. TPS is also the filename extension of expression scripts used by CrazyTalk 3D face animation and lip-syncing software.

TPS file format:

To find out what program is needed to open TPS files, you need to determine the file format. Each file format has a unique extension and almost always a unique signature. For example, Microsoft Word documents have the extension .docx and the signature (usually the first 3 characters in this file) PK. Nonetheless, different programs can utilize the same file extension to represent distinct file formats. Double-clicking on the file often results in an error when opening. Exact knowledge of the format is therefore important in order to solve problems occurring in files. Below is our analysis of the TPS files:

TPS is a very common file type and includes various formats for various programs. The two most common formats are as follows:

All other TPS files (35%) have no uniform format, often e.g. XML, RIFF and RLOGF. These files are often connected to write, data, config, resort, last, sensor or assu. If you want to find out which format your TPS file belongs to, just click on the button "Choose your .tps file to analyze".
