What is a VRML file?

VRML files mostly belong to AutoCAD by Autodesk. A VRML file is a 3D virtual world or scene written in Virtual Reality Modeling Language. It contains vertices and edges which make up 3D polygons saved alongside color, sounds, alpha and other information constituting a virtual world viewable in a web browser. A VRML file can be embedded in an HTML web page. It may also be created and viewed with computer-aided design applications such as AutoCAD or Creo. Virtual worlds written in Virtual Reality Modeling Language are sometimes saved in WRL (world) or WRZ (GZip-compressed world) files.

How to open a VRML file

You need a suitable software like AutoCAD to open a VRML file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
