All about BCW Files
The BCW file type is primarily associated with Business Card Wizard.
What is a BCW file?
A smaller group of these files is known as the Business Card Designer Plus file. In these, the design data is compressed using zlib, which helps reduce file size while preserving layout information.
Key points provided by FilExt.com:
How to open a BCW file
You need a suitable software like Business Card Wizard to open a BCW file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your BCW file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a BCW file directly in the browser:. Just drag the file onto this browser window and drop it.

Programs that open and convert BCW files:
- Business Card Wizard
See the previous paragraphs to learn more about the main application. BCW files are often referred to as Business Card Wizard page layouts because this type of file is primarily created or used by this software.
- C++ (Version 4.5 Environment Settings) by Borland Software Corporation
BCW file extension format:
Each file has a definite file format, that is, how the stored data is arranged in the file. The initial characters of a file are called signature, sometimes also referred to as "magic bytes". The signature can be used to infer the file format. However, different programs can use the same file extension, and file extensions can be assigned incorrectly. If there are problems opening a file, you must first determine the file format used. Our evaluation of the BCW files looks like this:
BCW is not that commonly used as a file extension. This file type is mainly used by one program with a specific format. But the following two file formats are common:
- 90% of all BCW files are BusinessCards MX project files. These are binary files, so they do not contain words or text. The files are on average 400 KB in size and range from 57 KB to 1 MB. It is a modern file type. The files contain the following words: STOR, page and thumb. Files like these have the following tags: template, carte, vizitka, vizita, card, calendar, business, kartu, wizyt, auto, beat, hair and nama, and usually contain person-related data.
- 5% of all BCW files internally utilize the zlib file format. Zlib is a compressed archive file format that supports several different data compression algorithms. zlib is also a crucial component of many software platforms, including Linux, macOS, and iOS. The contents of these files cannot be read by a human; only a computer program can interpret the data. The files are on average 250 KB in size and range from 21 KB to 310 KB.
All other BCW files (5%) have no uniform format. Just click the "Choose your .bcw file to analyze" button on this page to find out what your BCW file is.
