What is a BDL file?

BDL files mostly belong to Creo Direct by PTC. A BDL file is a bundle of 2D or 3D drawings, models, annotations and metadata created with Creo Direct. A model stored in a BDL file is usually a vehicle part/assembly. This file also contains parts with geometry and hatch types. The BDL drawing bundle is saved in the same folder as the MI and BI drawing files. Another type of BDL file is a bundle (add-on) used by F1 2015 racing video game. Firmware updates of Hewlett Packard's LaserJet Enterprise printers are saved in a BDL file. Grid, an assistive communication program, saves grid bundles (sets) in BDL files.

How to open BDL files

You need a suitable software like Creo Direct to open a BDL file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your BDL file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a BDL file directly in the browser:. Associate the BDL file extension with the correct application.
