All about BPR Files
The BPR file type is primarily associated with Informatica Cloud BPR Designer.
What is a BPR file
For one form, the file is a Business Process Resource used by the Informatica Cloud BPR Designer. This version is packaged internally as a ZIP archive and holds exported business process definitions and workflow settings. It is created by the Informatica Process Designer and sometimes works with tools from TIBCO BusinessWorks. For more details, visit the Informatica website.
Another form of BPR is an XML-based Borland C++ Builder Project. These files store project configurations, source file links, and build settings meant for a C++ development environment. They are managed with the IDE provided by C++Builder, now under Embarcadero. See more at the Embarcadero C++Builder page.
A third use is as a Blockly project file associated with a program such as Baltie, and sometimes it is considered a Borland Pascal resource file. This variant holds block-based programming elements and specific project data.
How to open BPR files
You need a suitable software like Informatica Cloud BPR Designer to open a BPR file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your BPR file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a BPR file directly in the browser:. Just drag the file onto this browser window and drop it.

How to solve problems with BPR files
- Associate the BPR file extension with the correct application.
- Update your software that should actually open project/resource files. Because only the current version supports the latest BPR file format. Search, therefore, e.g. on the manufacturer website after an available Informatica Cloud BPR Designer update.
- To make sure that your BPR file is not corrupted or virus-infected, get the file again and scan it with Google's virustotal.com.
- Click here to open your .BPR file online - secure, fast, and no downloads needed.
