BT file format:
Each file has a definite file format, that is, how the stored data is arranged in the file. The first characters in a file identify the file format, for example, HTML files start with the bytes <html>. However, different programs can use the same file extension. Furthermore, a file extension can be renamed incorrectly and double-clicking on it will then display an error when it is opened. When there is a problem with a file, the first step to solving it is to determine the file format. Our analysis of the BT files produces the following result:
The BT file extension is not widely used. Such a file does not have a uniform file format. However, the following two file formats are common:
- 20% of all BT files internally utilize the Source file format. A source code is the set of instructions written by a programmer using a computer programming language like JavaScript, C++ or Basic. This code is translated into machine language by a compiler. The translated result is called app, program or executable. These files are text files and can therefore be read using a text editor. The average file size is 4 KB with most files being between 1 KB and 16 KB in size. Several words can almost always be found in the files, e.g. Editor, File, Binary Template, //----------, Purpose and Author. The file name PDFTemplate.bt or SKSV_Custom_Body_Scales_STRUCT.bt is characteristic of these files. Such files are related to scales, body, custom, struct, sksv, template and skbrn.
- 15% of all BT files use the same file format, which have the signature # Octomap OcTree binary file # (feel free to add /. They consist of unreadable binary data. The file size is in the range of 1 KB to 440 KB. The keywords # (feel free to add / change comments, but leave the first line as it is!), # Octomap OcTree binary file, data, size, id OcTree and res 0.05 are typical for these files. Files like these are about octomap.
All the rest of the BT files (65%) have different formats, the following 6 formats can be found: BluffTitler Show, VTBuilder - Binary Terrain v1 and BRITONLEAPBE. They are often associated with index, pericope, article, blocks, allyd, world or poly. Drag & drop your file here to see the file format and a preview of your BT file!
