What is a CPE file?

CPE files mostly belong to Motorola CPS. Motorola Radio Codeplug: This CPE file is often a configuration file for Motorola radios. It stores settings such as frequencies and channel names. Use Motorola's CPS Programming Software to open and edit it.

How to open a CPE file

You need a suitable software like Motorola CPS to open a CPE file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. CPE file format:

Every file has a defined file format, i.e. how the data is arranged in the file.
