What is a CVR file?
CVR files mostly belong to Windows Error Reporting by Microsoft. A CVR file is a crash report generated by the Error Reporting service on Windows operating system. This file contains information about the reason a Windows application has crashed or failed to start. CVR files are saved in the %HOMEPATH%\AppData\Local\Temp\ folder. Windows Error Reporting service prompts a user to send an error report to Microsoft whenever an app crashes. The contents of a CVR file is only sent to Microsoft if the user explicitly chooses to do so.
How do you open CVR files?
