How can I open an ELP file?

You need a suitable software like eXeLearning to open an ELP file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. Why is it important to know the file format? This is the only way to find out which program to use to open the file. Each file format has a unique extension and almost always a unique signature. For example, Microsoft Word documents have the extension .docx and the signature (usually the first 3 characters in this file) PK. Frequently, however, one file extension is used by different programs for different file formats, and one file format for different file extensions. When there is a problem with a file, the first step to solving it is to determine the file format. Our analysis of the ELP files produces the following result:

Files with the ELP extension are quite widely used. This file type is used by different programs with different formats. However, the following two file formats are common:

• 60% of all ELP files are based on the zip format, that is, an ELP file includes multiple compressed files. The 1 to 30 compressed files are called content.data, content.xsd and contentv1.xml. A typical file size is 3 MB. The files contain the following words: ELP1. Some examples of file names are 00a64e7c4be662633e5ddcd44907cf05_1297231.elp or luascript.0.1.elp. Such files are related to ddcd.

All other ELP files (30%) have no uniform format, often, for example, RIFF, UTF-16 (LE), CRID and From.
