What is an HT file

HT files mostly belong to HyperTerminal by Hilgraeve. HT is the file extension used by a HyperTerminal session file. HyperTerminal is a terminal emulation program developed by Hilgraeve. It allows computers to communicate using Telnet or SSH over TCP/IP networks. The program was provided with the Windows operating system up to Windows XP. The HT session file in HyperTerminal stores connection and terminal emulator settings for connecting to a remote computer. It also stores any Key Macros or file transfer settings that the user has configured for that connection. It is a binary format file and is created automatically when a connection is set up in HyperTerminal. The HT session file is saved in the HyperTerminal Connections folder in the Start menu by default.
