What is an IDW file?

IDW files mostly belong to Inventor by Autodesk. An IDW file is a 2D or 3D vector-based drawing created with Inventor computer-aided design software. The IDW file is saved in Compound Document format. It contains one or more views (projected, base, detail, auxiliary, overlay, exploded, and section) of a product model. Autodesk computer-aided design products such as AutoCAD can also import, edit, and export an IDW file containing a drawing created with Inventor.

How to open an IDW file
