IWCFile Extension IWC
File extension: IWC

What is an IWC file

IWC files mostly belong to CardPresso. IWC files come in two main flavors. In many cases, they are ID card design files created with CardPresso. These files store layout data, images, text, and printer instructions to produce finished ID cards.
On the other hand, some IWC files hold hydraulic model data from InfoWorks ICM. In this variant, the file is essentially a ZIP archive containing the simulation data used for hydraulic network analysis.
Use the appropriate software to view and edit your IWC file.
  • If your file contains design elements for cards, open it with CardPresso.
  • If it holds hydraulic simulation data, use InfoWorks ICM or try renaming the file’s extension to .zip and extract its contents.
  • FilExt.com tip: For more details, visit the CardPresso website or check out InfoWorks ICM for the hydraulic model variant.

How do you open IWC files?

You need a suitable software like CardPresso to open an IWC file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your IWC file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a IWC file directly in the browser:. Just drag the file onto this browser window and drop it.
