Opening JBF Files
The JBF file type is primarily associated with PaintShop.
What is a JBF file?
How can I open a JBF file?
You need a suitable software like PaintShop to open a JBF file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your JBF file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a JBF file directly in the browser:. Just drag the file onto this browser window and drop it.

Programs that open and convert JBF files:
- PaintShop by Corel
See the previous paragraphs to learn more about the main application. JBF files are often referred to as PaintShop raster images because this type of file is primarily created or used by this software.
- Backup Now (backed up data) by JetSoftBackup Now was a computer software used to backup and restore user files. Backups created with Backup Now are saved in JBF files. This program has been discontinued. This file format is classified as Backup.
JBF file format:
The file format, which is the arrangement and type of data in a file, determines which program can open the file. Often, the file format can be deduced from the file extension or the initial bytes (called the signature). Frequently, however, one file extension is used by different programs for different file formats, and one file format for different file extensions. Knowledge is power - this also applies when dealing with unknown or faulty files. Our evaluation of the JBF files looks like this:
JBF is not that commonly used as a file extension. This file type is mainly used by one program with a specific format. But the following two file formats are common:
- 90% of all JBF files belong to PaintShop Pro Browser cache. They consist of illegible, cryptic characters. A typical file size is 9 KB. The file type was created 20 years ago but is still used today. The following keywords are characteristic: JASC BROWS FILE and JANOMEBF. Pspbrwse.jbf is a typical file name. Such files sometimes refer to front and hand.
- 5% of all JBF files use the same file format, which can be identified by the letters "11 27 00 00" at the beginning. A typical file size is 2 MB.
All other JBF files (5%) have no consistent format. If you want to find out which format your JBF file belongs to, just click on the button "Choose your .jbf file to view this image".
