What is a JSX file?

JSX files mostly belong to Visual Studio Code by Microsoft. A JSX file is the executable script for a plugin written in ExtendScript using ExtendScript Toolkit or a code editor. ExtendScript is a JavaScript-based language for developing plugins and batch processing scripts used by Adobe design products such as After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Another type of JSX file is a module for a web or mobile application project to be built with React framework. This second type of JSX file is written in JavaScript Syntax Extension, a markup language that allows developers to write React components in HTML/XML-like syntax instead of writing components as JavaScript objects.

How to open JSX files

You need a suitable software like Visual Studio Code to open a JSX file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your JSX file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a JSX file directly in the browser:. Just drag the file onto this browser window and drop it.

JSX file format:

A file format defines how the data in the file is structured. The file format can be deduced from the file extension and the signature. If the file extension does not match the file format, double-clicking on the file will cause an error upon opening. Exact knowledge of the format is therefore important in order to solve problems occurring in files. In the following you will find our evaluation of the JSX files:

The JSX file type is a very commonly used file extension and includes various formats for various programs. The two most popular formats are as follows:

The remaining 20% of all JSX files are different files with different signatures, the following 4 formats can be found: target and export. Files like these are sometimes linked to export, paint, contact, real, subtopic, sheetii, create, script, auto or text. How to solve problems with JSX files

  • Associate the JSX file extension with the correct application.
  • Update your software that should actually open application modules. Because only the current version supports the latest JSX file format. Search, therefore, e.g. on the Microsoft manufacturer website after an available Visual Studio Code update.
  • To make sure that your JSX file is not corrupted or virus-infected, get the file again and scan it with Google's virustotal.com.
