What is a JTP file?

JTP files mostly belong to Journal by Microsoft. A JTP file is a template created with Journal note-taking app for Windows operating system. This file is used to create one or more journal entries saved in JNT files by the same program. JTP format was originally used on older Windows tablet PCs. 32 bit and 64 bit editions of Journal for Windows desktop can create, read, and export JNT notes created from JTP templates. A user can also save a note as a template (JTP) file by using the "Save As" function.

How to open a JTP file

You need a suitable software like Journal to open a JTP file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your JTP file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a JTP file directly in the browser:. Just drag the file onto this browser window and drop it.

If you can determine the file format, the associated program can also be determined. The file format can be deduced from the file extension and the signature. However, different programs can use the same file extension, and file extensions can be assigned incorrectly. Exact knowledge of the format is therefore important in order to solve problems occurring in files. Our evaluation of the JTP files is as follows:

JTP is a very commonly used file extension and predominantly uses a uniform format. However, the following two file formats are common:
