Opening an LC File
The LC file type is primarily associated with Corona SDK.
What is an LC file?
For example, one common use is as a Lua bytecode compiled file that runs under Corona SDK. In this case, the file contains precompiled Lua code, so it cannot be read as plain text.
Other uses include:
How to open an LC file
You need a suitable software like Corona SDK to open an LC file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your LC file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a LC file directly in the browser:. Just drag the file onto this browser window and drop it.

Programs that open and convert LC files:
- Corona SDK
See the previous paragraphs to learn more about the main application. LC files are often referred to as Corona SDK developers because this type of file is primarily created or used by this software.

LC format details:
The file format determines how the data is stored in the file. The first characters in a file identify the file format, for example, HTML files start with the bytes <html>. However, different programs can use the same file extension, and file extensions can be assigned incorrectly. Exact knowledge of the format is therefore important in order to solve problems occurring in files. Our evaluation of the LC files looks like this:
The LC extension is quite commonly used. The file itself is used by different programs with different formats. However, the following two file formats are common:
- 30% of all LC files start with the bytes 1B 4C 75 61 crucial for this file format. The contents of these files cannot be read by a human; only a computer program can interpret the data. The average file size is 4 KB with most files being between 740 bytes and 20 KB in size. The file type is old but is used even today. The keywords LuaQ are typical for these files. An example of a file name is game.lc. These files are attributed to case, stage, select, actor, functions, improved, panel and base.
- 6% of all LC files are based on the well-known PDF file format. PDF is short for Portable Document Format, is a file format to present documents, including text formatting and images, in a manner independent of application software, hardware, and operating systems. They consist of illegible, cryptic characters. The files are on average 16 MB in size and range from 2 MB to 88 MB. Files like these are sometimes connected to libgen, international, principles, elsevier and basic, and have person-related content.
All other LC files (64%) have different formats, the following 13 formats can be found: EXE, ZIP, SIMPLE, HAI, SERVER, Common, Adobe and Administrator. Sometimes used for manhattan, multisim, gmat, cambridge, optimization, vandenberghe, american, content, univers, convex, dialog, effect, lieven, sector or fast. You can get all the details of your LC file by dragging it onto this page or by clicking the button "Choose your .lc file to analyze" above.

an lc compiled code file is a special file format and should only be edited and saved with the appropriate software.
How to solve problems with LC files
- Associate the LC file extension with the correct application.
- Update your software that should actually open compiled code files. Because only the current version supports the latest LC file format. Search, therefore, e.g. on the manufacturer website after an available Corona SDK update.
- To make sure that your LC file is not corrupted or virus-infected, get the file again and scan it with Google's virustotal.com.
- Click here to open your .LC file online - secure, fast, and no downloads needed.
