Opening PPP Files
The PPP file type is primarily associated with PagePlus.
What is a PPP file?
- Other Uses: Project files associated with the Cyberlink PowerProducer software also use the PPP file extension. PowerProducer software is a Windows-based video editing and authoring software with inbuilt disc burning capabilities, that uses PPP files to store project data used for disc burning such as scene information, disc layout, scene sequence information, and other graphics. PPP files contain references to video, audio, and picture files and save all the content needed for burning new CD/DVDs. Enfocus Pitstop, a Windows-compatible program used for pre-flighting, editing, repairing, and reporting PDF documents, uses PPP files as preflight profiles to save pre-defined preflight settings. NCH Software Photopad Editor also uses image-editing project files using the PPP file extension.

PPP file extension format:
To find out what program is needed to open PPP files, you need to determine the file format. A file format is determined by the file extension and signature, so JPEG images have the extension .jpg and the first bytes in the file are ÿØÿ. If the file extension or signature does not match the file format, errors will occur when opening or editing the file. So a detailed analysis of a file is vital in order to determine the format and the associated program. Our evaluation of the PPP files looks like this:
Files with the PPP extension are quite widely used. This file type is used by different programs with different formats. The two most popular formats are as follows:
- 45% of all PPP files are based on the zip format, the PPP file contains a number of compressed files. Such a ZIP file contains 13 to 40 files. Common included file names are Root.xml, document.xml, preview.png, resources.xml, story.xml, stylesheet.xml, summary.xml, \images\1.jpg, \images\1.wdp, \masterspreads\1.xml, \spreads\1.xml, \story\1.xml and \typedspreads\1.xml. If you'd like to see the images and files included, just rename the file extension to .zip and double-click. PPP files are between 33 KB and 5 MB in size. Certain words are almost always found in the files, such as 00000000 and images. These files are often associated with card, publication, front, cover, newsletter, layout, label, page and size, and frequently comprise personal data.
- 20% of all PPP files use the same file format, which can be identified by the letters "lsdf" at the beginning. The content consists of illegible binary data, which can only be read and interpreted by the associated programs. PPP files can be up to 64 MB in size, but are often around 100 KB - 22 MB. The keywords lsdf, IHDR, original_image, sRGB, gAMA and pHYs are typical for these files. Files like these are sometimes connected to logo, collage and photo, and have often person-related content.
All the rest of the PPP files (35%) have different formats, the following 6 formats can be found: Serif PagePlus Publication, CyberLink PowerProducer Project and PDF. The category is preflight, template, poster, plan, birthday, artist, edited or book. You can get all the details of your PPP file by dragging it onto this page or by clicking the button "Choose your .ppp file to view this image" above.
