Opening SFA Files
The SFA file type is primarily associated with Stick Nodes Pro.
What is an SFA file?
SFA files can store several types of data, and you need to know which type you have to open it correctly. The file extension is used in different ways depending on its creator. Below are some examples of how SFA files are used:
- Stickman Fight Animation: This version uses a ZIP container to keep stick animation sequences. It is created by Stick Nodes Pro and is similar to a Pivot Animator file. You can find more information at Stick Nodes.
- SnowFoxArcFine Archive: Here, the file is an archive for game data used with the SnowFox engine. It holds animation or asset data linked to the SnowFoxAnimator.
- Sceneform Asset: This file holds 3D scene and asset data. It sometimes appears as a simple scene asset (or Simple Scene Format Asset) and is meant for viewing in programs like the Sceneform Asset Viewer or tools associated with Filament.
- SQLite Database / SAFE Foundation Analysis: In this case, the file uses an SQL structure to store database information. It is used as a SAFE Foundation Analysis file by Trimble Business Center, and you can explore it with a SQLite browser (SQLite).
- Sony Flash Memory Audio: This type stores audio data for devices such as the Yamaha S90ES/S70XS. It is sometimes referenced as MVS audio data and requires a compatible audio player.
FilExt.com notes: Before opening an SFA file, check its origin and internal format. If it seems compressed, try a ZIP extractor. If it has database structure, a SQLite tool may work. Always back up your file before modifying it.
How can I open an SFA file?
You need a suitable software like Stick Nodes Pro to open an SFA file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your SFA file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a SFA file directly in the browser:. Just drag the file onto this browser window and drop it.

an sfa multi-purpose data container is a special file format and should only be edited and saved with the appropriate software.
How to solve problems with SFA files
- Associate the SFA file extension with the correct application.
- Update your software that should actually open multi-purpose data containers. Because only the current version supports the latest SFA file format. Search, therefore, e.g. on the manufacturer website after an available Stick Nodes Pro update.
- To make sure that your SFA file is not corrupted or virus-infected, get the file again and scan it with Google's virustotal.com.
- Click here to open your .SFA file online - secure, fast, and no downloads needed.
