What is a SOS file

SOS files mostly belong to ArcGIS Pro. SOS files serve two specialized roles.
Geospatial Data: These files store Norwegian mapping information using the SOSI standard. They can include coordinate details, spatial features, and attribute data. Specialized GIS software, such as ArcGIS Pro or FME Desktop, is used to open and view these files.

How to open a SOS file

You need a suitable software like ArcGIS Pro to open a SOS file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
