What is a WPA file?

WPA files mostly belong to Act! by Act!. A WPA file is a document created by the word processor in Act! customer relationship management software. Another type of WPA file contains a wind turbine blade design or simulation created by QBlade wind turbine simulation software. WPA is also the filename extension of a text file containing Wi-Fi credentials that various wireless connection scripts use to connect to a router or access point. Such credentials are mainly used on Linux operating systems for the Raspberry Pi and other headless computers.

How to open WPA files

You need a suitable software like Act! to open a WPA file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. The file format, which is the arrangement and type of data in a file, determines which program can open the file. A file format is determined by the file extension and signature, so JPEG images have the extension .jpg and the first bytes in the file are ÿØÿ. The content consists of illegible binary data, which can only be read and interpreted by the associated programs. The average file size is 28 KB with most files being between 7 KB and 1 MB in size. Files like these have the following tags: align, and often include person-related information.
