You may not be able to. See the database entry...

http://filext.com/detaillist.php?extdetail=toast

It is a Mac file. However it should also be a standard ISO file so you might be able to use something like Isobuster to open the file. You can at least try that and see what happens.

Keep in mind that as a Mac file you may not be able to run anything found in the ISO file as Mac software won't run on a PC. But, you should be able to get media files out (maybe ).

I also have a .toast file that I want to use, but I don't have the program toast. I want to use the os x burning utility. Will the mac be able to burn this file, or can I simply change the extention name to something the mac can see?

Thanks for your help!

I know this is kind of old but I just want to add that the unzipping utility 7-zip can extract the contents of the .tost on your windows computer.

It's simple... Just only rename the file from *.toast to *.iso...
So u can open with WinRar, PowerIso, etc...

Thumbs up Open DOT Toast

I had this problem myself recently - having downloaded 7 CD's worth of graphic files - but all saved as DOT Toast

I simply used ISOBuster to extract the data, which created a separate folder for each disc, and the graphics viewer which was on the 1st CD was able to read the files - all saved in DOT HPI format

So YES - thankfully it is possible to read data from DOT Toast on Windows PC

Default How to open toast file on a PC

Hi Lis,

You can use "Open in new window..." in the File menu.

I believe the shortcut for this is CtrlI, but you can configure it to whatever you want in the Options menu by going to Edit -> Options -> Shortcuts, and changing the value there.

It's not allowing me to change to .iso. After I make the change it just reverts back.
