ANON is an extension associated with FuckTheSystem, which is a ransomware i.e. a virus that encrypts files on an affected system and returns them upon payment of a ransom. The virus runs a malicious executable name Crypto.exe, which encrypts files on the computer and adds the ANON extension to the encrypted files. It also locks the screen, preventing the user from interacting with the computer. After encrypting the files, it displays a ransom message and prompts the user to decrypt the files by entering a password. The ANON files can be easily decrypted and recovered because this is not an advanced virus. The virus is therefore classified in the "Stupid" ransomware family.
