How do you open ARI files?

If you can determine the file format, the associated program can also be determined. Often, the file format can be deduced from the file extension or the initial bytes (called the signature). If the file extension or signature does not match the file format, errors will occur when opening or editing the file. The ARI file extension is rarely used and includes different formats for the applicable programs. But the following two file formats are common:

• 35% of all ARI files are ARRIRAW image files. These files contain neither text nor words, but only data. ARI files can be up to 20 MB in size, but are often around 7 MB - 9 MB. Certain words are almost always found in the files, such as ARRI.
• 15% of all ARI files use the same file format, which have the signature 28 2A. These files are text files and can therefore be read using a text editor. The average file size is 5 KB with most files being between 1 KB and 8 KB in size. The files contain the following words: Forster.
