What is a BQY file?

BQY files mostly belong to Hyperion by Oracle. A BQY file is a report generated by the interactive reporting component of Hyperion financial planning and forecasting software. This reporting component was previously named BrioQuery. A BQY report is saved as plain text. Another type of BQY file is an archive saved in the obsolete Binary II format used by Apple II and Apple III operating systems.

How to open BQY files

You need a suitable software like Hyperion from Oracle to open a BQY file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
