What is a CL file

CL files mostly belong to OpenCL by Khronos. A CL file is a script written in the Common Lisp dialect of Lisp programming language. Common Lisp compiler can execute such scripts. CL is also the filename extension of a script written in OpenCL (Open Computing Language). This type of CL script is mainly used in hardware programming and computer intensive applications such as password-cracking. IRAF astronomy image reduction software package uses a CL file to save its login script. How to open CL files

CL file format:

Each file has a definite file format, that is, how the stored data is arranged in the file. The initial characters of a file are called signature, sometimes also referred to as "magic bytes". The signature can be used to infer the file format. However, different programs can use the same file extension. Furthermore, a file extension can be renamed incorrectly and double-clicking on it will then display an error when it is opened.
