What is a CNOTE file

CNOTE files mostly belong to CollaNote. CNOTE files are the native note format for CollaNote, used to store user notes along with metadata and any attachments.
They rely on two internal structures for data storage:

ZIP Archive: Some files pack content in a compressed archive, which allows bundling different elements like images and handwritten strokes.

JSON Format: Other files keep note data in a structured text form, making the note’s content and metadata easy to read.

In some cases, these files are also known as Squidnotes note-taking format.

How can I open a CNOTE file?

You need a suitable software like CollaNote to open a CNOTE file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
