What is a CVX file?

CVX files mostly belong to Canvas by ACD. CVX filename extension is associated with drawings stored in the vector graphics format used by Canvas desktop publishing and drawing software. Drawings stored in CVX files may contain vector/raster graphics, layers, and layout information (e.g. settings, size etc.). This file format has some similarities with the CNV format used in Canvas version 6 to 8. The final edition of a CVX drawing may be saved as a CVI image file that can only be viewed with Canvas or exported to standard vector or raster graphics file formats. CVX filename extension is also associated with files containing terrains used by various flight and train (railway) simulation video games such as the Flight Simulator by Microsoft. A terrain may be part of the sea, a desert, mountain etc.

How to open CVX files

You need a suitable software like Canvas to open a CVX file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
