What is a DDL file?

DDL files mostly belong to MySQL Workbench by Oracle. A DDL file is a script written in a Data Definition Language used by Structured Query Language-compatible database management systems. The contents of a DDL file are stored as plain text. They include commands used to create, read, update, or delete database objects such s schema, tables, views, users, and indexes. How to open DDL files

You need a suitable software like MySQL Workbench to open a DDL file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
