What is a DEPLOY file

DEPLOY files mostly belong to ClickOnce. DEPLOY files are not one specific file type but a label used during application deployment. They are common in the .NET Framework environment with ClickOnce technology.
When developers publish an application, many kinds of files—such as executables, configuration files, assets, and even compressed packages—are given the DEPLOY extension to ensure that web servers treat them as safe downloads.

How to open a DEPLOY file

DEPLOY file format:

Each file has a definite file format, that is, how the stored data is arranged in the file. The remaining 25% of all DEPLOY files are different files with different signatures, frequently e.g. PNG, ZIP, ACCDB and XNBw. They are often associated with office, server, icon, viewer, core, management, utilities or interop.
