What is a DFS file?

DFS files mostly belong to AutoCAD by Autodesk. AutoCAD, a 3D modelling software mainly used by architects and civil engineers uses DFS file extension to store utility defaults data. DFS file extension is also used by 3D surface files created using the proprietary 3D image format of BrainSuite, an MRI software for visualizing the human brain. A BrainSuite DFS file consists of vertices and triangles that make up the scanned brain surface data. How to open DFS files

You need a suitable software like AutoCAD to open a DFS file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
