What is a DTI file?

DTI files mostly belong to Vernier SpectroVis Plus. DTI files serve two main functions.
Laboratory data use: Some DTI files are created by instruments like the Vernier SpectroVis Plus spectrophotometer from Data Translation Inc. These files record kinetic data from UV Vis experiments, meaning they store measurements taken over time for chemical analysis.
Tax invoice use: Other DTI files use XML formatting to hold tax invoice details, used in systems such as those provided by SmartBill for Korean tax reporting.

If your file comes from a spectrophotometer, use the dedicated instrument software available from Vernier (Vernier downloads) to open and analyze the data.

If your file is a tax invoice in XML, opening it with an XML viewer or SmartBill software (SmartBill) is the appropriate approach.

How to open a DTI file

You need a suitable software like Vernier SpectroVis Plus to open a DTI file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert.
