Opening EZB Files
The EZB file type is primarily associated with EZ-Builder.
What is an EZB file
File Format Variants:
- Backup Files: These files hold data for system or application backups and may be produced by systems like EZB Systems or EasyBuilder Pro.
- Robot Control Projects: Often based on XML, these files are used by EZ-Builder to store robotics control parameters and project settings.
- Compressed Archives: Some EZB files are in ZIP format. In these cases you might rename the file extension to .zip to open the archive with an archive manager.
For further details, you can visit the EZ Robot website.
To open and view a EZB file:
- If it appears as an XML file (common in robot control projects), open it with a text editor or the EZ-Builder software.
- If it is a ZIP archive, try renaming it to .zip and then open it with an archive tool like 7-Zip or WinRAR.
- If it is a backup file, use the specific backup or restore tool from EZB Systems or EasyBuilder Pro.
How can I open an EZB file?
You need a suitable software like EZ-Builder to open an EZB file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your EZB file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a EZB file directly in the browser:. Just drag the file onto this browser window and drop it.

Programs that open and convert EZB files:
- EZ-Builder
See the previous paragraphs to learn more about the main application. EZB files are often referred to as EZ-Builder backups because this type of file is primarily created or used by this software.
- EasyBookkeeper (Native Format File) by e-press CorpPart of the EasyOffice Suite, a software suite that generally uses the same file extensions as the Microsoft Office Suite and whose files are compatible with the MS suite.
- EasyBoot (Image File) by EZB Systems, Inc.
EZB file format:
Each file has a definite file format, that is, how the stored data is arranged in the file. The file format can be determined based on the file extension and the signature (the first few characters of a file). File extension, signature and file format must match; otherwise errors will occur when the file is opened. So a detailed analysis of a file is vital in order to determine the format and the associated program. Our analysis of the EZB files produces the following result:
The EZB file extension is rather rarely used and is used by different programs with different formats. The two most common formats are as follows:
- 60% of all EZB files are based on the zip format, so several files are combined and compressed into one EZB file. The number of files included is on average 46 and ranges from 25 to 150. If you want to see the included files and images, simply rename the file extension to .zip and double-click it. EZB files can be up to 240 MB in size, but are often around 730 KB - 51 MB. Several words can almost always be found in the files, e.g. TenderStruct.xml and BidFileIndex.xml. A common filename is (EZB-)-.ezb.
- 15% of all EZB files are based on the popular XML file format. The Extensible Markup Language (XML) is a simple text-based format for representing structured information: documents, webpages, data, configuration, books, transactions, invoices, and much more. XML defines a set of rules for encoding documents in a format that is both human-readable and machine-readable. These files are text files, so they contain words and text. A typical file size is 8 MB. The keywords <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>, <ConfigurationV2 xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">, <IsMaximized>true</IsMaximized> and <Widt are typical for these files. The file name EZ-InMoov Robot Head Adv v1.1.EZB or EZ-InMoov Robot Head Basic.EZB is characteristic of these files.
All other EZB files (25%) have no consistent format. Often described as backup. Drag & drop your file here to see the file format and a preview of your EZB file!

an ezb data archive file is a special file format and should only be edited and saved with the appropriate software.
How to solve problems with EZB files
- Associate the EZB file extension with the correct application.
- Update your software that should actually open data archive files. Because only the current version supports the latest EZB file format. Search, therefore, e.g. on the manufacturer website after an available EZ-Builder update.
- To make sure that your EZB file is not corrupted or virus-infected, get the file again and scan it with Google's virustotal.com.
- Click here to open your .EZB file online - secure, fast, and no downloads needed.
