Opening an HND File
The HND file type is primarily associated with HelpNDoc.
What is an HND file?
How do you open HND files?
You need a suitable software like HelpNDoc to open an HND file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your HND file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a HND file directly in the browser:. Just drag the file onto this browser window and drop it.

HND file extension format:
A file format defines how the data in the file is structured. Each file format has a unique extension and almost always a unique signature. For example, Microsoft Word documents have the extension .docx and the signature (usually the first 3 characters in this file) PK. File extension, signature and file format must match; otherwise errors will occur when the file is opened. So a detailed analysis of a file is vital in order to determine the format and the associated program. Our analysis of the HND files produces the following result:
HND is not that commonly used as a file extension. This file type is primarily used by a single program. However, the following two file formats are common:
- 80% of all HND files are based on the popular SQL file format. An SQL file contains a lightweight SQLite database, widely used in application development for storing application related data. The content consists of illegible binary data, which can only be read and interpreted by the associated programs. The average file size is 3 MB with most files being between 640 KB and 31 MB in size. This file type is based on cutting-edge technology. Certain words are almost always found in the files, such as SQLite format 3. Files like these have the following tags: manual, help, user, guide, geoportal, sampvoice, builder, sistema and stack.
- 6% of all HND files start with the magic bytes VARIAN_VA_INTERNAL_HND_1.0, which are always the first bytes of this file format. They consist of illegible, cryptic characters. The files are often between 1 MB and 1.4 MB in size. The keywords VARIAN_VA_INTERNAL_HND_1.0 are typical for these files. An example of a file name is Proj_00000.hnd. These files can be linked to frame.
The remaining 14% of all HND files are different files with different signatures, the following 3 formats can be found: NONE. If you want to find out what your HND file contains, drag and drop it onto this page.

- Update your software that should actually open database files. Because only the current version supports the latest HND file format. Search, therefore, e.g. on the manufacturer website after an available HelpNDoc update.
- To make sure that your HND file is not corrupted or virus-infected, get the file again and scan it with Google's virustotal.com.
- Click here to open your .HND file online - secure, fast, and no downloads needed.
