IDU file format details:

The file format determines how the data is stored in the file. Each file format has a unique extension and almost always a unique signature. For example, Microsoft Word documents have the extension .docx and the signature (usually the first 3 characters in this file) PK. However, different programs can use the same file extension, and file extensions can be assigned incorrectly. Knowledge is power - this also applies when dealing with unknown or faulty files. Our evaluation of the IDU files looks like this:

IDU is rarely used as a file extension and predominantly uses a uniform format. However, the following two file formats are common:

• 70% of all IDU files use the same file format, which have the signature 2E 40. These are binary files, so they do not contain words or text. IDU files can be up to 600 MB in size, but are often around 330 KB - 140 MB. The file type is very old but is also used today. These files can be linked to sdiopm.
• 15% of all IDU files use the same file format, which can be identified by the letters "+§9Í" at the beginning. The content consists of illegible binary data, which can only be read and interpreted by the associated programs. A typical file size is 3 KB. The keywords source are typical for these files. Such files are related to boolean.
