Programs that open and convert LIP files:
- Clip Studio Paint by Celsys
See the previous paragraphs to learn more about the main application. LIP files are often referred to as Clip Studio Paint raster images because this type of file is primarily created or used by this software.
- SLIP (data) by Grolimund & Partner AGSLIP is an environmental noise prediction, calculation, and presentation software that uses road noise, railway noise, point/area sources noise calculation models. Some data generated by SLIP is stored in a LIP file. This file format is classified as Data.
- WaveToLip (lip sync data) by Bohemia InteractiveWaveToLip is a video game development tool that generates game character lip sync (LIP) files from audio (WAV) files. The game engine used by Operation Flashpoint and Virtual Battlespace use the lip sync file to synchronize game characters' lips movement to the words in the audio file. This file format is classified as Game.
LIP file format:
The file format determines how the data is stored in the file. Each file format has a unique extension and almost always a unique signature. For example, Microsoft Word documents have the extension .docx and the signature (usually the first 3 characters in this file) PK. If the file extension or signature does not match the file format, errors will occur when opening or editing the file. When there is a problem with a file, the first step to solving it is to determine the file format. Below is our analysis of the LIP files:
The LIP file extension is rather rarely used and includes different formats for the applicable programs. The two most popular formats are as follows:
- 45% of all LIP files are based on the popular SQL file format. An SQL file contains a lightweight SQLite database, widely used in application development for storing application related data. These files are binary files, so they do not contain text, but only cryptic characters. The files are 750 KB to 66 MB in size, with a median of 7 MB. The file type is relatively new. The files contain the following words: SQLite format 3, CREATE TABLE Project(_PW_ID INTEGER PRIM and )tableProjectProject. These files are attributed to page and girl.
- 20% of all LIP files have the same signature 01 00 00 00. The content consists of illegible binary data, which can only be read and interpreted by the associated programs. LIP files are between 520 bytes and 6 KB in size. These files can be linked to dialogue and greeting.
All other LIP files (35%) have no uniform format, often e.g. VERSION. Tagged as line, service or rabi. If you want to find out which format your LIP file belongs to, just click on the button "Choose your .lip file to analyze".
