What is an LVL file

LVL files mostly belong to Hyper Light Drifter by Heart Machine. An LVL file contains one or more video game levels. A game level usually contains the level's map, scenes, objects, and game characters. Star Wars: Battlefront, Hyper Light Drifter, Super Mario Bros X, Max Payne, and Snood use an LVL file to save a game level. LVL is also the filename extension of a game data archive used by Star Wars: Battlefront.
