What is an MBP file?

MBP files mostly belong to Mobipocket Reader by Amazon. MBP file extension is developed by Mobipocket to store eBook notes information.

Main Use: Mobipocket (owned by Amazon) is associated with developing the widely popular HTML based e-book format MOBI. Mobipocket created MBP files to store highlights/annotations information found within eBooks. The MBP file in itself is very small (around 1 Kb) and saves annotations, highlights, and other notes that are automatically created when a MOBI or AZW eBook file is opened on Amazon Kindle devices. Other Uses: MBP file extension is also used as a disk burning project file by Medialink, a multimedia authoring and CD/DVD burning application developed by CyberLink. The MBP project file can be edited and burned onto optical discs using CyberLink MediaShow software on Windows PCs.
