What is an MP1 file
How to open MP1 files
You need a suitable software like QuickTime Player to open an MP1 file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. If you cannot open your MP1 file correctly, try to right-click or long-press the file. Then click "Open with" and choose an application. You can also display a MP1 file directly in the browser:. Just drag the file onto this browser window and drop it.

MP1 file format:
To find out what program is needed to open MP1 files, you need to determine the file format. The file format can be deduced from the file extension and the signature. However, different programs can use the same file extension. Furthermore, a file extension can be renamed incorrectly and double-clicking on it will then display an error when it is opened. When there is a problem with a file, the first step to solving it is to determine the file format. Our examination of the MP1 files comes to the following conclusion:
MP1 is seldom used as a file extension and includes many different file formats. But the following two file formats are common:
- 15% of all MP1 files are based on the well-known MP4 file format. MP4 is a multimedia container format used to store video and audio and allows streaming over the Internet. These are binary files, so they do not contain words or text. MP1 files can be up to 510 MB in size, but are often around 460 KB - 420 MB. Several words can almost always be found in the files, e.g. mdat and ftypmp42.
- 7% of all MP1 files are based on the popular MP3 file format. MP3 is an audio file format that uses a compression algorithm to reduce the overall file size of songs, sounds or pieces of music. If you open these files in a text editor, you will see only illegible characters. Most of these files are 200 KB to 45 MB in size.
All other MP1 files (78%) have no uniform format, often, for example, UTF-16 (LE). Tagged as kinitopet, perfect, shall, pair, rise or world. If you want to find out which format your MP1 file belongs to, just click on the button "Choose your .mp1 file to analyze".

- Update your software that should actually open multimedia files. Because only the current version supports the latest MP1 file format. Search, therefore, e.g. on the manufacturer website after an available QuickTime Player update.
- To make sure that your MP1 file is not corrupted or virus-infected, get the file again and scan it with Google's virustotal.com.
- Click here to open your .MP1 file online - secure, fast, and no downloads needed.
