How to open PQB files

You need a suitable software like Pleco to open a PQB file. Without proper software you will receive a Windows message "How do you want to open this file?" or "Windows cannot open this file" or a similar Mac/iPhone/Android alert. PQB file format:

The file format determines how the data is stored in the file. Each file format has a unique extension and almost always a unique signature. For example, Microsoft Word documents have the extension .docx and the signature (usually the first 3 characters in this file) PK. However, different programs can use the same file extension, and file extensions can be assigned incorrectly. If there are problems opening a file, you must first determine the file format used. • 80% of all PQB files are using the well-known SQL file format to store the data. An SQL file contains a lightweight SQLite database, widely used in application development for storing application related data. The content consists of illegible binary data, which can only be read and interpreted by the associated programs. The file size is in the range of 46 KB to 70 MB. This file type is based on cutting-edge technology. The following keywords are characteristic: SQLite format 3, #indexidx_pleco_dict_entries_sortkeypleco_dic, cards and flash. Some examples of file names are Flash Weekly Backup A.pqb or BCC- -.pqb. These files are attributed to pleco, backup, dict, flash, flashcard, database, chinese and pcbw.
• 6% of all PQB files internally use the ZIP format, that is, a PQB file includes multiple compressed files. 4 to 25 compressed files with names like certificate.jpg, certificate.xml, quiz.xml and storage.abs are common. If you want to see the included files and images, simply rename the file extension to .zip and double-click it. The files are often between 260 KB and 2 MB in size. Several words can almost always be found in the files, e.g. quiz.xml.
