What is an RPP file

RPP files mostly belong to REAPER by Cockos. RPP is a REAPER project file. REAPER is an audio production software used for recording, editing, processing, mixing, and mastering audio files.

Structure: Upon starting a new project, REAPER will automatically create these three files inside the software's home folder:

• An RPP file, which is the main project file and holds all the projects information
• An RPP-BAK file, which is a project backup file - upon saving a project into an RPP file, the previous state of this project is saved in the backup file
• An RPP-UNDO file, which stores the undo history; created only if the option to save this history is enabled in the general settings of the software.

When working with multiple projects at the same time, it is possible to open all of them in separate tabs, provided all of their RPP files are located in the same folder. You can use the "Media Explorer" tool to browse through project files, as well as audio, and automation files.
